TAX CREDITS

As of January 1, 2016, California designates electric forklifts as low-carbon vehicles, making them eligible for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program. Thanks to this designation, warehouse operations can generate credits in the program with electric forklift fleets.

 NOTE: Electric Vehicle state and federal laws are constantly changing, with infrastructure changes as recently as July 2021. Make sure to do additional research at the Alternative Fuels Data Center to find out the newest information about federal and state laws that relate to alternative fuel trucks. 

GRANTS AND REBATES

The Colton Commercial Rebate Program is offering up to $2,000 towards the cost of leasing or purchasing an electric forklift and an additional $5,000 when you install a separate utility meter.

The Zero-Emission Freight and Marine Projects are a great program if you have a large fleet. By scrapping your old forklifts and upgrading to an electric fleet, you can access the $34 million available to eligible projects.

Take advantage of the SMUD EV Program incentives for light-duty trucks. Plus, electric vehicle charging installations for customers, up to $4,500 per handle for each level 2 EV charger.

LIberty Utility customers can take advantage of Small Business Charger Rebates. New charging equipment can qualify for up to $2,500.

Public Gas & Electric (PG&E) offers rebates for the purchase of electric fleet vehicles. Electric forklifts qualify for up to $3,000 per vehicle, up to 25 vehicles per site.
